Adult Bible Study
Chalmers-Wesley is starting up its Bible study group again under the leadership of Elizabeth Huse. The proposed plan of study is "A Purpose Driven Life". The day and time for the group's meetings will be determined in the coming weeks.
Under the leadership of our previous minister, George MacDonald, the Bible study group examined some very important pieces of the Bible and made their own response. We have closely examined the Beatitudes found in chapter 5 of the Gospel of Matthew. After more than three months of examination and study, we felt it was appropriate to add our own Beatitudes to those found in the scripture. If you want to see the results of our work, they can be found below. We think the work the members did with the Beatitudes is something of which to be very proud.
When we looked at the Psalms, the members were challenged to write hymns. Members challenged themselves to learn through active participation. You will find below the hymns the Bible study group have written along with suggested music.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join our study. If you like our Beatitudes or hymns, please feel free to use them as you wish. The only request we make is that you let us know that you have used them.
