Pastor's Vision
Worship the Lord with gladness, come before God with joyful songs. In our relationship with God we ascribe Glory to God and worship in the splendor of Holiness. The unconditional love of our Master will renew, refresh and restore our souls.
We sit on a hillside and hear from Jesus what it means to live in blessedness. It is summed up in the Gospel of Matthew 5:3-12. We live, we learn, we walk with Christ and in holy prayer we discover the blessings that live within us. We let our light shine and we become the salt of the earth.
We live in the unity of the Holy Spirit while accepting and understanding there had always been and always will be diversity within the body of Christ. We include rather than exclude. We understand rather than condemn. We challenge rather than name call. We grow rather than reach for certainties. We tell the story in relevant ways rather than seek to hear the same old stories for our own comfort.
The church is a holy place where we are baptized, fed unto eternal life and blessed during our daily living. The church is the place where we are given great commissions. We are asked by Jesus to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, welcome the stranger and visit the prisoner. In my vision there is never an end to our earthly tasks. We work tirelessly to bring the living word to those who have not yet responded. We welcome the challenge to do all we can while we have the strength. We are assured Christ will call upon others when our time is over to carry on his work.
