Welcome to Worship at Chalmers-Wesley
Giving Glory to God is at the center of our life as a Christian Community. Everything we do begins in worship. It is our starting place.
Our worship is joyous. We are a small but vibrant, spiritual community with diverse talents and abilities. We have a gorgeous sanctuary with magnificent windows set in neo-gothic architecture. We are very friendly, outgoing and surprising in our Christian witness.
We are actively seeking to grow. Enjoyable, joyous, meaningful and relevant Sunday Services are key in becoming a thriving community.
Visitors are most welcome. We always have a time of greeting at the beginning of the service and invite first time attendees to stand, tell us who they are, and where they are from. Coffee and conversation always follows worship.
The United Church was formed in 1925 with the union of the Methodist, Congregationalist and Presbyterian churches in Canada. Our sister churches in the United States include the United Methodist Church, The United Church of Christ and the Presbyterian Church. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for worship regardless of their tradition.
We are an open and welcoming community. No one is excluded – everyone is included. We strive to meet the needs of all who enter our doors.
We meet every Sunday for regular worship at 11:00 am. If you should happen to see our pastor dashing in just before church begins, do not be alarmed. He also ministers to St. Andrew’s United & Presbyterian Churches in Valcartier and they worship before us every Sunday.
